Hmmm. I think you can guess the title of this book…I saw this book on a list of books to read and then saw it at the library and picked it up. I read the thing straight through. It was really cute, you know, like when you were younger and you stayed up all night until you finished reading a book. Only now I’ve got work in the morning and no one is really that excited to hear about what good children’s book I’ve been reading…which is why I’ve got reading journal I guess.
But honestly, this is a good read. It won the National Book award, and that’s a big deal. I know you’ll like it.
RJ book 39 is Mockingbird by Kathryn Erksine
Mockingbird:
- Talk about closure. What does it mean to the characters in this book?
- Talk about a project that you have started and maybe you haven’t finished.
- Look in the book for more ideas, from the author (I can’t really compete with those…)
until next time, when you’ll have the fortune (wink wink) to see two books in reading journal, one about fortunes, and one about dancing, read and write on!
