The Critterzen Clue Contest (Disney Palace Pets: Whisker Haven Tales)
Unlike the other Palace Pets Books, this one was an ORIGINAL story set in the Palace Pets universe! The story was edited for length and voice after I submitted my final manuscript, so I’d like to say the writing is about 80% of the story I wrote! Also, tattoos!
2016:
Three books were published that I worked with Disney on, set in the
THE PALACE PETS universe.
These three were adaptations from Palace Pets short films.
I worked with an editor to adapt the text and storyboard the book, paging out the story and matching stills of the art with the text for each page. This was fun because in a way I was helping to art direct the book!
July 19th:The Cookie Boogie (Disney Palace Pets: Whisker Haven Tales)
Don’t let this one fool you; I wrote the story which was then adapted AGAIN into an easy reader. So if you’re counting, that’s two adaptations! This one is about some cookies that come to life and are good at dancing. Hey, that’s one way to not get eaten!
July 12th: Tutu Terrific! (Disney Palace Pets: Whisker Haven Tales)
This one was really fun to work on and is a Little Golden Book! We actually sell quite a few of them at Hicklebee’s and I’ve signed a bunch of them as well. A few times I’ve been working when customers came up to buy the book!
July 12th: The Royal Derby (Disney Palace Pets: Whisker Haven Tales)
The Royal Derby features a very interesting hat. Another fun one to work on! And, stickers!!!
