PidMoIdMo is still going great.
I’ve kept it to more than one idea a day all week, which, considering this week was an adventure and emotional rollercoaster, is pretty good!
I’m trying to not take on so many things either and relax a little bit more, which is why these notes are drawings and writing combined together. Even though I’m no illustrator, drawing always relaxes me.
And after Debbie Ridpath Ohi’s post, how could I not?
I love her comments about having so many journals! I can totally relate! I think I have at least 12 or 15 different moleskines, some of which are filled, to my credit! And doodling? You should see my school notes. Doodles, doodles, everywhere! Mostly of trees (what does that say about me, I wonder?)
Kelly Light’s post was a bit dancy*!
*may not actually be a real word!
I loved linking dancing and writing together! And I loved drawing the little dancing rectangle, he has come up before in doodles and sketchbooks…thanks Kelly!
And nuggets with Sudipta:
This is an important one for me. Sometimes I get a really small idea and then worry about it because it’s so small, but who knows what a nugget could grow up to be? A mystery nugget….ah! another story idea! See what I mean?
On to listening:
I loved this so much I’ve started a page in my journal just to collect sounds that I like to hear and say. Well, in this idea journal. I already have one of those pages in another journal (told you I had a lot of journals, Debbie Ridpath Ohi style!)
After listening, get inspired with Elisa Kleven:
I had fun writing up some examples from my own life here in these notes, though my face has never been that red, and I’m not sure if I’ve ever been that angry!
Just when you thought you’d thought of it all, you get some setting inspiration with Tammi Sauer!
It was fun to think about different settings and to really doodle my way through a few. Using the bamboo tablet is fun, but still not as much control as I’d like in creating art, but it’s fun to let that go and just draw! I did not find it surprising that most of my settings are a bit fantastical. What can I say, I’m a bit fantastical.
and, lucky 13 with Melissa Conroy!
Have to admit I was getting a little tired at this point, so not too many illustrations, but I really loved the idea of meeting an exciting stranger. I feel like I’m always open to that!
How is everyone else doing?
Hope the ideas are flowing out, even if it’s just one nugget at a time!

Love your doodles! And thanks so much for your recap. I’m behind on reading all the PiBoIdMo posts, and although I still hope to go back and read them, I feel like I am all caught up now 🙂 I’ve had a couple busy days without a lot of ideas, but overall I’m still chugging along and hoping to get to 30 by the end of the month. Sounds like you are doing great!
Kerry,
You are on to me! I did the recap because I know I’m going to want to go back quickly and look at all this great info throughout the year, but I know I’ll be overwhelmed just going through the posts on the blog! This way I have some fun on Sundays, get to draw a bit, and if I want to read the whole thing, I’ll remember exactly what post to go back to!
Good luck and keep up the good work! I like chugging along….you could turn that into an idea!

Nice pictorial summary of the previous posts…and tidbits from your own collection…thanks for refreshing my mind!
