The other day I noticed I haven’t blogged a single thing for a month.
This is not surprising to me; I’ve been very busy with school.
So, I decided to cheer up my blog by writing it a nice letter.
Here it is:
Dear Blog,
It’s me, Kathy Ellen. I know I haven’t been around too much lately, but it’s because I’m working on this very important third year project for school. I promise to tell you all about it when I’m done (which will be March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day. Don’t worry, I’m am wearing green so I won’t get pinched!)
I have been doing many interesting things that I plan to tell you about too, so many interesting things there needs to be a list!
Ready?
Go!
- I entered the sketchbook project limited edition series and have been working away on that, due April 30th. Most of the drawings and quotes in the book will be focused on how to be a happiness ambassador, and one of the spreads in the book will be picked to be published in a limited edition art book!
- While we’re on the topic of arthouse Coop, I’m doing two other projects, these free.
One is writing a letter back to your childhood home, due March 15th
and the other is the 4 by 6 art exchange, due March 30th. - How’s writing going?
GREAT!
Still going strong with the 12 by 12.
and recently had a great chat on an airplane with David Elliott, and I’m now looking into the…..
MFA in Creative Writing at Lesley University! - Meeting authors and illustrators?
Of course.
Met Kevin Henkes, Mac Barnett, and Jon Klassen. - Writing poetry? Why not?
I saw the March Madness poetry challenge needed people, and I signed up!
We’ll see how far I get, yeah? - Making things? Of course.
I have made a ton of stuff for my project, and made a few more things that will show up in my etsy shop soon.
I made a leap capsule for leap day,
and I’ve started a sketchbook/daily journal that is getting to be really fun. - Have I been thankful?
yes, everyday.
I think I’m going to try to catch up on them.
Some interesting things I’ve been thankful for recently:
ABBA, Mustangs, gummi bears, letters from friends, and sandals. - What have I been reading?
A few books here and there, but not a ton, thanks to my project. But more soon. - Oh, and I even went to a concert of Frank Turner’s, and now have a new CD in my car that is on repeat.
So, isn’t that exciting, blog? I know you have been worried, but no need to be!
Soon you will be all caught up on what’s been going on.
Until then, I hope this letter can hold you over.
You’re still the coolest blog in town.
Don’t forget it!
your friend,
Kathy Ellen
