The Donut Dash Saga Continues!
WOWSA.
I woke up for Day 5 feeling like this:
I know!
Shocking!
I think it’s the pool.
Anyway, I had an eventful day and then I went running.
The goal today was 3 miles.
I don’t even look at the time while I’m running; I just run.
Well, when I looked at the time at the end, here’s what I got:
Ok, I know it’s not the best time, but I’ll take it.
an 8:30 mile after only running for five days is pretty good in my book.
I continued on with my training and sewed up a hole in my sumo suit.
CRISIS?
AVERTED!
On to Day 6.
Still feeling REALLY REALLY good.
But was REALLY REALLY busy.
So I decided to take a break.
I mean, you gotta rest sometime, right?
But I did work on some training in another department:
Day 7!
Feelin’ good!
The goal today was to go running at the time that I will be running Saturday.
That would be 9:30 folks.
But I’m on vacation, so, that didn’t really happen.
I did run at 10:30 so that’s kind of close, right?
I ran 3.2ish miles (I didn’t really measure, I just ran some extra!)
and did it in 28 minutes, 15 seconds.
I really took it easy and tried to go a little bit slower, so that was great.
TOMORROW
I am going to run at the time of the race (again, 9.a.m.)
AND I’m going to run in the sumo suit!
WOWSA!
Then it will be race day!
I’m thinking about bringing a sketchpad and drawing/writing down how I feel while I’m running.
We’ll see how that goes.
