I knew November would be a blog free month.
Ok, I did think I would get a post or two in there.
But with NaNoWriMo AND PiBoIdMo,
I’m really not surprised that I didn’t even end up writing
one
measly
little
post!
Good news:
I won both!
And even better news,
I FINALLY tallied up all the books we collectively read in October!
Adding my 31 in there (which I ALWAYS forget to do…)
we all together read…
405 books!
Amazing!
And, yes, we finally do have a winner of The Monstore!
It’s YOU, Susan Cababel!
Email me your address (kathyellendaviswriter@gmail.com)
and I’ll send The Monstore your way!
Did anyone else do PiBoIdMo?
Or NaNoWriMo?
How did it go for you?
Thank you for all the wonderful comments about 31 in 31.
It’s a bit crazy every year, but I love doing it.
I’m going to look for an easier way next year, maybe a google doc,
to help keep track of all the books.
Maybe a way to plug in the book and the author’s name and your name,
and then the prizes can go out faster!
Look for the ultimate list of all the books we read by the end of this year 🙂
What’s up next?
I’m going to be doing lots of reviews of books here.
See, I read A TON of books.
And catalog them in GoodReads.
At least once a day someone asks me for a recommendation.
And I open up GoodReads and list off about ten titles.
Now, the easy thing to do would be for them to follow me on Goodreads!
But it’s not always that simple.
I thought about it and decided that I wanted to create a place for people to go,
to be able to find books easily and learn a bit about the book before they get it.
So, I’m going to do little book talks here of books I’ve read.
That way it won’t give away the whole story,
but it will be enough to know what the book’s about.
I’ll also link to the author and illustrator,
and a book trailer if I can find one.
Then, I’m going to create some boards on Pinterest,
and, hopefully,
soon there will be a whole lot of recommendations up there!
Don’t worry;
these reviews will be sweet and VERY short.
I do NOT want to clog your inbox.
So yeah, that’s what will be going on here for a while.
I’m excited to see how it turns out!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and isn’t feeling TOO crazy now that the holidays are upon us!
Until next time,
KE and SS
Congrats, Kathy Ellen, for completing NaNoWriMo AND PiBoIdMo! I did PiBoIdMo, too.
And congrats, Susan Cababel. If you haven’t read The Monstore, you’re in for some good reading! I loved it.
Thankful to end Thanksgiving weekend with news of a prize. How fitting that I just completed Tara Lazar’s PiBoIdMo and will be getting her MONSTORE! Thanks, Kathy Ellen, for 31 in 31–had fun participating for the first time this year.
