Dot Day was yesterday,
but I sort of wanted to let my video post have the entire day.
Never fear, I still made a Dot!
Dot Day is a celebration of creativity inspired by Peter Reynold’s book, The Dot.
Check it out if you haven’t read it; it’s amazing, sweet, and will inspire anyone to get out there and make their mark on the world.
Here’s my dot:
I made it with the crayons that I had as a child;
that’s my crayon box at the top of the photo.
There’s no proper red because I LOVED red as a kid,
so all my red crayons from childhood are gone from being used up 🙂
The pattern of squiggly, fuzzy, poky, whatevery shapes
is also something I did all the time as a kid.
I would draw one on its own and make a face and arms and legs for it,
or fill up an entire paper with the same pattern.
I think I’m going to use my crayons to celebrate every Dot Day 🙂
Did you know about Dot Day?
Did you celebrate?
Here’s a post with TONS of resources from the amazing Mr. Schu!
Until next time,
KE
I heard about Dot Day last year on Twitter. Then was reminded again, so put the book on hold last week. It might be waiting for me at the library right now!
I hope it is!
That book is AWESOME!
