Introducing: yeah, WRITE!

screen-shot-2016-09-22-at-2-08-05-pmEvery year for the past three years
I’ve done the NaNoWriMo
Night of Writing Dangerously.
It’s a night filled with fun, writing, food,
and, best of all,
it raises money for the NaNoWriMo Young Writers Program.

I love to think of a thank you for people who donate to my cause,
and came up with a fun pdf this year called yeah, WRITE.

To explain, here’s a short video.

Not into videos?
Here’s the intro to the packet.

What IS yeah, Write?
Simple.
10 pages (plus two BONUS pages!)
of writing prompts to turn anyone into a writer.
These simple sheets are fun to fill out
and are yours to make as many copies as you want.
I hope they inspire you to write down some stories
or play around with words
or both!

I’ve been a writer my whole life,
so playing around with words and stories come naturally to me.
But I know many people who say,
“well, that’s easy for you. I could never be a writer.”
The thing is, we all have what it takes.
We all have stories.

Sometimes we just get intimidated by the blank page
or the idea of putting those stories into words.

That’s why I came up with these fun ideas;
when we are playing around, we’re usually not as afraid.
We are willing to take chances.
And extraordinary things can happen.

When I met Danny (my husband) we lived on opposite coasts.
We ended up writing letters to each other,
since we only got to visit every three months or so.
(We still had Skype and phone calls too!)
I made him some writing prompts
because he claimed he wasn’t good at writing,
but soon he didn’t need them.
He wrote me great letters with awesome stories
that I still read two years later.

When I thought of something to make as a thank you for NaNoWriMo,
I didn’t have to think too long to come up with the idea of yeah, write.

I love puns, I love writing, and I love encouraging others.
This feels like it does all three.

When you donate any amount to my campaign,
you get this pdf.
It shows up in the thank you email,
so, instant gratification!

I will be sharing with you in the upcoming days
how I came up with and used the sheets.
Here’s an overview of what the sheets are about!
