77-80: St. Francis and the lion; one fair.

Book 1: You know this illustrator, and maybe even this Saint. But you’ll have to get the book to realize why DePaola wanted to do a book on St. Francis. Just found it while working at the library. And when I say working, I mean volunteering.

Book 2: The cover to this book was what got me. And it was a super fun book too!

Book 3: A book with a good message for kids, but they don’t know it’s a message! It’s fun and not preachy, a balance that can sometimes be hard to strike. Very simple as well.

Book 4: Another Amy K.R. book. How can you pass by a book that says it’s not fair? I love the ending too. Clever!

So, books 77-80 are:

Francis the poor man of Assisi by Tomie DePaola
Willoughby & the Lion by Greg Foley
One by Kathryn Otoshi
and
It’s not fair by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld.

St. Francis and Willoughby.
One and it's not fair.

Next up:

A book about an artist, another book by one of today’s authors, and a very sharply dressed cat.
You don’t want to miss it!

until then, read and write on!
