Whew! That’s a lot. But here we go:
The first book is one that I just picked up at the library because I liked the cover. When I flipped it over and read the back, I was pretty sure I would like it, so I gave it a chance. I finished it in one day and could not wait for the library to open the next day so I could go get the next one! I am always happy that I find out about these sort of books when both are out, instead of having to wait patiently for the next one to come out. I am good at patience, but not so much when it comes to books!
The second book is such a classic. I’ve read it so many times to children, but still never tire of it.
The third book is one that I bought at a Borders going out of business sale. Thought it must be good if it won the Newbery, and I wasn’t disappointed. I loved the simple story.
The fourth book is another book about Bear. I just love the illustrations of the first book and scooped this one up from the library too.
I’m sure I read the fifth book before, but maybe not. With a cat/children’s book lover for a mother, I’m not sure how I could have missed it. But it’s a fun one, and I love the black and white illustrations.
