I’m sketchy and I know it: Sketches for my summer 2012 portfolio!

After graduating from school, I knew I had about three weeks to do some art.
First step?
Sketch some stuff out.
Well, actually the first step was to revisit all of my sketchbooks…

Yes, plural.
I have many sketchbooks.

And see what things I wanted to draw again or improve upon.
Then,
I turned up pandora
opened up a sketchbook,
found a pencil sharpener,
and sat down for three whole hours.
And drew and drew
and drew.

And maybe even ate licorice?
Yeah, I’m sure that happened.

ANYWAY, all my ideas came out of this three hour crunch session.

Here’s some sketches!

Hey there giraffe with scarves….
Yes. Toast!
A blowfish would have a mighty fine birthday cake!
Tragically I could not work in the French baguette character. Yet.
Totally love how the top image turned out!
I never draw horses….or dogs.
Slouchers.
I love the crazy bird
The giraffe is back! And so is a dancing frog?
Sock monkey girl (semi-autobiographical)

Whew.

That took a lot out of me.
Seriously, I fell asleep in the middle of this post.

But then I woke up, ate some homemade soup, made some whipped cream, had that with strawberries, and had some garlic bread-ish baguette.

well, the strawberries came at the end actually, but, hey, I just woke up, cut me some slack!

clearly I’m too tired for this, but remind me to tell you how awesome my housemates are some time.

until then,
soup is sweet,
KE
