The first book is a book that I had been reading for a while, interviews with tons of illustrators, about their process, the way they see the world, about everything! It was reassuring to hear that a lot of illustrators didn’t have formal training and still were very successful (thanks James Marshall!)
The second book is a collection of poetry about trees. I don’t know; I’ve always loved trees, so I loved this book! Just found it while searching at the library.
The third is a book I had not read about a very cool crocodile.
And the fourth was recommended to me by a friend from school. Great little graphic novel, but great for kids too.
So, without further ado..
RJ Books 108-111 are as follows:
Ways of Telling: Conversations on the Art of the Picture Book by Leonard Marcus
Old Elm Speaks: tree poems by Kristine O’Connell George, illustrations by Kate Kiesler
Cornelius by Leo Lionni
and
Robot Dreams by Sara Varon

So I’m kind of catching up…
Don’t make fun of me.
Coming up next though:
A book about a warm animal,
A book about being happy and not knowing it or trying not to know it?
A book about who is REALLY the boss,
and
A book about a game you don’t want to start playing if you don’t finish it.
until then,
Kathy Ellen
