The first book is a book you may not know from Maurice Sendak. I read about it in “Ways of Telling” and found it at the library a little later.
The second is another animal book by an author we just met.
The third is a great book to see what integrating another language into a picture book looks like, and
the fourth is a collection of poems by color.
So, Reading Journal books 121-124 are:
Outside over there by Maurice Sendak
Hungy Hyena by Mwenye Hadithi and Adrienne Kennaway
Abuela by Arthur Dorros, illustrated by Elisa Kleven
and
Color me a rhyme by Jane Yolen, photographs by Jason Stemple.

Coming up next:
Rhyming about the day
Rhyming about the seasons
Fun times with colonial pals,
A tale of a girl at the turn of the century
and
Reaching Me.
until then, this has been,
