Phew.
November has been pretty busy!
I should have known, doing PiBoIdMo and NaNoWriMo in the same month.
For the record, that’s difficult!
But I’m doing well.
So far, here’s my NaNoWriMo count:
That’s 36,407 so far!
And here’s an outdated version of my writing poster to show PiBoIdMo count too:
Writing everyday has been interesting.
I’ll write more about it after November!
I’ve tried to do some other things too, besides writing.
Keyword: TRIED!
Thankfully it’s Thanksgiving, so Ā I sent out some Thanksgiving mail:
Thankfully I have a friend with a birthday in December, so I had an excuse to craft.
I made some notebooks from some packaging I saved of his favorite brew…
well, maybe just the art is his favorite.
And I made a little version of the birthday banner I made this summer for a mutual friend:
I also got to make a few cards for some friends at capoeira.
I’m the “make a giant card for everyone to sign” person.
Between birthdays and people leaving on trips and such, they keep me pretty busy š
And it was a little girl’s birthday that I know….so I helped out with crafts and entertainment.
Including learning how to draw…a buffalo.
As you can see, my November has been very varied š
What’s coming up in December?
- More writing! (most likely picture books!)
- An ambitious revision plan/plan to work on a list of agents to submit to
- PiBoIdMo colorfyl notes…I’ve gone back and done the ones I missed last year too…there will be two MEGA posts coming your way!
- A few author visits…one or two I haven’t blogged about yet.
- More mail art….especially because Christmas presents are going to be heavy in the mail art department.
- The full list of all the books read during 31 in 31.
How’s everyone else’s November going?
Hope you have some great turkey tomorrow…
it’s my first Thanksgiving NOT as a vegetarian in three years, so I’m pretty excited!
Enthusiastically yours,
Kathy Ellen and Singe Singe
What an amazing (and busy) November you’re having!
My November has been awesome, chiefly because I went to Connecticut and attended two performances of a brand new musical that Julie Andrews is directing (based on a book by Julie and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton.) It was a wonderful experience!
I am, however, waaaaaaay behind in PiBoIdMo and other writing. That’s life.
Happy Thanksgiving, Kathy Ellen!
Kathy…so great to hear you are progressing through November…yes, it has been a REALLY busy month!
I LOVE your little notebooks with the ‘brew’ covers…so so so creative…you could sell those, no problem!
Have a beautiful Thanksgiving! Enjoy the change of vittles. š
Happy Thanksgiving, Kathy Ellen! You’ve been busy! I’m also doing PiBoIdMo and also busy with some work-for-hire books.
The life of a write is crazy…crazy fun! I love the November calendar you’ve created. Since I like to think visually, I think I’ll steal your idea so I can see my accomplishment for PiBoIdMo and future challenges. Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
