I use the app “Clear” for my to-do list.
I started one called: “Summer goals”
for the time I’ll be spending in NY…about 5 weeks.
When you start a new list, a quote pops up.
And it was this one:
We’re all busy, but with what?
I want to make sure I’m busy with the RIGHT things.
So let’s take a look at that To-Do List.
I’ve got a few categories:
Connecting
- Visit with friends and family
- Write to SCBWI people who I met in LA
- Send along notes to people who wanted me to
- Continue using social media mindfully to rave about books
Creating
- Building a little free library with my Dad
- Catching up on my drawing every day journal
- train capoeira to equip myself with more moves
- Finish up sock monkeys for my niece and her sister
- Write blogposts to rave about books and give away books
- continue editing books for Lara, my agent
- FINISH first drafts of three longer works in progress.
These longer works include one chapter book, one lower middle grade book, and one upper middle grade book. For each one I’ve already got a start, and for some I have a bunch written. But I want a COMPLETE draft of each.
I’m going to be keeping myself honest and check in here once a week about what I’m accomplishing. And hopefully all of my summer dreams come true 🙂
