Alright, I’m going to try to race through March a bit.
Hence the extremely long title, and the many books that will follow!
The first book is poetry! I went on a bit of a poetry kick, as you will see this month. I think there is a national poetry month. I wonder, by chance, if it is March?
The second book is by an amazing author illustrator who has been in here before. This is one of his Caldecotts (he has three!!)
Another Mo Willems book. I can say that without any exhaustion, because I love his stuff!
More poems, this time put together by a guy I’m sure you know, and
the second book by an author who has already been in here. In fact, I have this book signed by her, thanks to the SCBWI retreat I went to!
Anyway, here we go:
Reading Journal books 103-107 are:
Poems have roots by Lilian Moore, illustrations by Tad Hills
Tuesday by David Wiesner
Don’t let the pigeon stay up late! By Mo Willems
Tomie DePaola’s book of poems collected by Tomie DePaola, various poets
and
Scumble by Ingrid Law, art by Brandon Dorman
Coming up next:
A book with interviews with a ton of illustrators and author illustrators,
More poetry about trees,
A crocodile a bit like me,
and
A robot and a dog as friends.
See you soon and read and write on!
