Thankful Thursdays #3

Whew.
This has been a fun week.
Away from home, staying in a hotel, not eating the best food, but still trying!

Still, plenty of things to be thankful for!
Excited to share!!

Here we go:

#3

There are a lot I want to write about this week!
First: Adventures that are right around the corner?
I literally put a question mark in my thankful journal, and then, I wrote:

Adventure is just around the corner.  I feel like this is some kind of calm before the storm, like something really good is going to happen in a really awesome way!

I have no idea why this happened, or what I was inspired about, but I was inspired!

Hearing my birthday song on the radio:
You know that facebook thing?
Where you find out what song was #1 on the day you were born?
Mine is Billie Jean by Michael Jackson.
I heard my song on the radio this week and decided that if I hear it on the radio (NOT seeking it out!) that that means it is going to be a good day, or lucky day, or something.

Could be because I love those kind of things.
And this worked out, because, on the same day, I

found an awesomely orange outfit for $2.50
at the Goodwill.
First, they were having a half off sale for MLK day.
I picked up some t shirts to make into new shirts and skirts and was on my way out when I went by the dresses and saw it.
BRIGHT ORANGE.
Long sleeves with sequins, but slightly see-through.
An attached short orange skirt.

I yanked it off the rack and discovered it was what I thought it was:
A FIGURE SKATING OUTFIT!

I smiled wide and even chatted up the guy at the cash register about it.

“That’s more orange than our safety vests!” he laughed.

I don’t know when I’m going to wear it (with a tank top under, of course)

but I do know, when I do, it’s going to be AWESOME!

And my last one:
The fastest go for the gold teacher ever.

So, in my job, we have this California shaped lollipop holder.
When the kids are doing something great, we send them for a lollipop, saying, “GO FOR the GOLD!” and some of the lollipops have gold at the end of them, and if they find one of those, they get 50 points.

I always send the teacher too, and this was a young teacher, and he was SOO EXCITED!

He literally JUMPED up out of his chair, and RAN up, and

He
got
GOLD!

He cheered, pumped his hand up in the air and he ran around cheering by the kids…they loved it.
Way to go. It was awesome.

And right now i’m thankful that Footloose is on 🙂
