Stampy Sundays: Frames!

What happened to thankful thursday?
Well, I’m still thankful, but I was super busy on Thursday, so we’ll have to catch up with it this Thursday.

If you can’t be honest, what can you be, right?

Some letters went out this week, and a postcard came in from a friend!
This week I sent out five letters to a family of five children that I know.
They each got a Grinch Christmas card, since they are fans of Dr. Seuss, and since I have so many of them 🙂

I got really excited about this scrapbook paper that I just got for a ridiculously low price (about 200 sheets for $2) and one of the sheets has all these frames on it.

I thought it would be cool to send along some interactive art, so I picked my favorite frames and tweaked them a little bit. I hope the kids draw cool pictures in them!

Frames:

For the youngest, who loves those little green toy story men.
Second youngest. I like the balloon, don't you?
Middle child. I like the idea of a dog appreciating art!
Second oldest got a three pack of frames and a girl with big hair (that may or may not be me.....)
The oldest got a quote and a fancy frame! I like the old man too...what good fashion sense he has 🙂

I had tons of supplies on hand, but had fun coloring with the ball point pen.
I really like how it gave some texture to the frames because they’re not all solid black (yes, I’m good at coloring, but not perfect!)

Good times.

Next up? Valentines and more cards, including some animal stationary that I’m carving out of linoleum.
The plan is to make them and have them in my bag, so, whenever I have a free moment and I’m not reading, crocheting, writing, drawing, or doing tai chi (all valid uses for free time) I can write letters!

It’s just really fun to send them out.
And to get them!

See you in the mail,

KE
