Isn’t this why we got into writing in the first place?
Because we don’t want to leave the house?
Okay, I’m going to admit something here.
I actually DO LIKE leaving the house.
But that’s okay.
There are all kinds of writers.
Writers that love going out.
Writers that love staying in.
Online buddies are good for all writers.
Writers need buddies because most other people in our lives?
They don’t get it.
They don’t realize how heartbreaking a rejection is,
or how HARD it is to wait for EVERY SINGLE THING
or how good it feels to finally get that right word.
I don’t know about you,
but I find it so refreshing to open up an email
and vent to a friend.
Or cheer someone on in Instagram.
Or get inspired by what someone shares on Twitter.
Social media can provide buddies for you.
Or you can meet folks in real life and buddy up over the internet.
I guess all I’m trying to say is this:
please don’t do this writing thing alone.
And please don’t think because you don’t have an in person writing group
that you can’t find community.
Writers are out there.
And, in my opinion, you can’t have too many buddies.
